The Ethereum development team has unveiled a renewed vision for the network’s evolution, emphasizing improved scalability and optimization of base-layer performance. One of the project’s technical leaders shared these insights, highlighting that the network’s core functionalities will remain central — including token issuance, support for real-world asset-backed digital tokens, and stable digital currencies.
The roadmap also aims to strengthen decentralization, enhance user data protection, and improve internal communication across the ecosystem.
Key forward-looking priorities inсlude:
Integration of AI-powered digital agents,
Development of autonomous digital systems,
Enhanced privacy in user interactions,
And the creation of a fully open-source technological infrastructure.
One of the platform’s co-founders noted that with this new organizational approach, critical upgrades could be deployed more quickly than before. He also mentioned upcoming improvements aimed at expanding the network’s technical capabilities, such as increasing transaction limits.
If development stages are completed ahead of schedule, these upgrades might be rolled out earlier than initially planned.
Earlier this year, the possibility of accelerating the network’s major updаte cycle was raised. However, some planned improvements have since been slightly delayed.
