Solana developers presented the Saga cryptocurrency smartphone

Solana Mobile, a subsidiary of Solana Labs, announced a mobile crypto smartphone created in collaboration with OSOM. The device is called Solana Saga and will run on Android software.

The presentation of the Saga smartphone took place in New York at an event to introduce the Solana Mobile Stack platform for creating mobile applications for Android on Solana. The developers said that the smartphone will be integrated with the Solana blockchain, as well as endowed with cryptocurrency-related functionality and the Solana Mobile Stack software development kit for Web3.

Saga’s software “stuffing” will inсlude pre-installed Web3 apps, Solana Pay for on-net payments using a QR code, a wallet adapter, and a Secure Element app for private key management.

The manufacturer has already opened pre-orders for the device, but the gadget itself will go on sale in the beginning of 2023 for about $1,000.
