Payment giant PayPal has disclosed the amount of cryptocurrency assets held by the company’s customers.
According to the quarterly report, PayPal users increased their digital assets by 56% during the first quarter of 2023. Total financial liabilities for the first quarter of 2023 were $1.2 billion, of which 77.9% were cryptocurrency assets, a 10% increase from the fourth quarter of 2022.
PayPal now has $1 billion in accounts, with $499 million of that coming from BTC, $362 million from ETH, and $82 million from BCH and LTC.
