The first solar-powered mining farm opens in the USA

On Thursday, June 23, the American mining company Aspen Creek Digital Corporation announced the launch of a new facility in Colorado with a capacity of up to 6 MW. This is the first “farm” in the States that runs entirely on solar energy.

The total power of the solar station reaches 10 MW. This project is part of the corporation’s global program to build “green” mining farms in the US with a capacity of up to 3 GW. ACDC plans to implement it by 2025. The use of solar energy makes it possible to neutralize the effect of market volatility. Thanks to this, the company does not depend on electricity prices, and therefore is more stable in a crisis.

ACDC was established this year. Its key task is to provide the US with the proper infrastructure to launch large projects for the extraction of cryptocurrencies on renewable energy sources.
